Behaviour at Healdswood
At Healdswood Infant and Nursery School, it is our fundamental belief that being ‘fair’ is not about everyone getting the same (equality), but about everyone getting what they need (equity) and that every behaviour a child demonstrates is a form of communication.
Our school’s behaviour leads Miss Stretton-Clarke and Mrs Townsend have undertaken ‘Building Relational Schools: Becoming Attachment Aware and Trauma Informed’. We are now developing this across school, with staff undertaking training and development.
Our staff are familiar with restorative practices, which focus upon repairing harm and restoring relationships following misbehaviour. These include PACE and Emotion Coaching.
This is an ongoing journey, so we will be sure to update this page further as our journey develops!
